Description
This spray paint painting is part of the street art codes. It presents a portrait treated in marked contrasts, where black and white oppose each other on a neutral ochre background. The subject, a child in a pensive posture, evokes a certain urban melancholy.
The stencil work brings a rigorous graphic precision. The rendering recalls the texture of concrete or sculpted stone. The projections of black and white paint add a spontaneous dynamism to the composition.
The artist uses a direct visual language here. She draws her inspiration from public space to create a dialogue with the viewer. The absence of bright colors emphasizes the introspective dimension of this scene.
Realized in 2022, this piece plays on the duality between the fragility of childhood and the harshness of urban materials. The light strikes the top of the head and the shoulder, leaving the face partially in shadow. Each line defines a solitary and contemplative silhouette.
Presentation
Miss Fuck is a French artist, born in 1973.
A self-taught artist, since her childhood, Miss Fuck has felt close to the artistic world in general. She likes to vary her techniques, though most of the time she does stencil and spray-painting.
With time, Miss Fuck likes to evolve her creation techniques, she refuses to take the easy route or banalities, and always tries to renew her work. This is why street has become her favorite playing field, source of inspiration, place of exhibition. The urban space allows her a certain closeness with her public.
All her canvases resemble her and are a direct reflection of her thoughts. Due to her art, she is able to express her joys and sorrows. She uses bright and bold colors like her speech, the slight punk aspect brings in a touch of revolt, an important aspect for Miss Fuck.
It's like a victory for Miss Fuck to see the world of street art and the punk atmosphere mix together, unite as one in the same speech. Even though, she innovates her mediums and techniques, the stage is always the same, public: street.
