Description
The artwork here, "Abstract 7", is a wonderful depiction of an abstract image, that was created with acute detail, and vibrant color throughout, making it one of the nicest pieces by Ginzburg we have ever made available. Also, measuring approximately 16" x 20" archival matted and 26" x 30" with the high-quality frame, the immaculate artwork is of impressive craftsmanship and size. Finally, it has remained in excellent condition since being published, is signed in the lower right corner, numbered 43 of 75, and comes with a Gallery Letter of Authenticity.
Yankel Ginzburg's art has been exhibited in major museums, and can be found in some of the most prestigious public and private collections across the globe. Now, this authentic work can be part of yours as it will be professionally packaged to ship domestically or internationally. Therefore, please contact us if you have any questions and do not forget to submit your offer.
Every item comes with free custom framing. We have wood frames with gold, silver, black, or brown finishes to offer you. Please note that in order to preserve the quality of the artwork and condition of the frame, most items are framed at the time of purchase. Due to issues within the supply chain and delays with framing products availability, the frame you see pictured might not be currently available. If we do not hear from you regarding your framing options we will do our best to frame it in a similar style and color.
Presentation
Yankel Ginzburg, painter, sculptor, printmaker, and statesman, is a Grand Master of the Washington, D.C. “School of Light." He was born in a province of the old Soviet Union, the grandson of famous Soviet General Marshal Zhukov, who defeated Hitler on the Eastern Front in WWII. Jewish on his mother's side, Yankel and his family emigrated to Israel, thereafter -- where Ginzburg became the youngest student, ever, to be admitted to the prestigious Institute of Art, from which he graduated with honors in 1965. By an Act of Congress, Ginzburg and his family were made U.S. citizens in 1968.
In addition to his high-profile career in fine art, Ginzburg has been a major philanthropist and political activist. His duties have included serving as artist-in-residence at the Camp David Peace Accords between Egypt and Israel, hosted by President Jimmy Carter (1978) to chairing The Fund for Democracy and Development, having raised $240 million in aid for former Soviet Republics (1994). He counts royalty among his collectors, including King Juan Carlos of Spain and his wife Queen Sofia, and the former Pahlavi Royal Family of Iran.
