Description
This captivating sculpture depicts a wild cat in full action, seized at the precise moment of the hunt. Crafted from cut black metal plates, it commands attention through the power and fluidity of its forms. Each plate is finely adjusted to reveal the animal's taut musculature, evoking a sense of strength and dynamism. The choice of black metal accentuates its menacing and mysterious allure, playing with light to create a dance of shadows cast upon the ground. The curved base, reminiscent of the silhouette of a fleeing prey, adds a narrative dimension to the work. This unique piece perfectly marries craftsmanship and imagination, capturing both the raw beauty and the palpable tension of the wild. A masterpiece that fixes the very essence of the predator in metal.
Presentation
If the excellence of his metallurgical work in terms of layout and decoration have long won over a fine regional clientele, Steve Chaudanson has only been in Drômois since 2011. Born in 1976 in Sainte-Foy-Les-Lyon, he grew up in Africa. After 25 years of experience in metallurgy, he let his creativity and his passion for Art speak.
Colorful and sleek, massive and refined, the metal sculptures imagined by Steve Chaudanson carry their bewitching lines here and there in the contemporary artistic and aesthetic universe. Sometimes fleshy and corpulent, sometimes airy and transparent, they use the upstrokes and downstrokes of their frame to capture the eye and the light. Between humanity and bestiality, the volumes take on body, life and warmth, before melting into graphic objects with a metallic coldness. And vice versa.
Eminently artistic, these works are no less numbered works, the fruit of creativity served by technological mastery and high-precision metallurgical know-how. Or when art and matter marry in the most beautiful way.
