Vintage Atmosphere

Vintage interiors are taking the world by storm. They're everywhere at the moment, from our very own living rooms to trendy cafes, restaurants and shops. Furniture and objects with a past bring a touch of nostalgia to our interiors and make us dream of times passed. Vintage pieces help give a soul and a personality to our spaces and allow us to create interiors in which we feel well and truly at home. Of course, antique furniture also creates a much needed contrast to today's modernity and our world which seems to changing faster everyday.

Maybe you have a bohemian inspired approach to vintage; you like rattan furniture, salvaged furniture items and small decorative objects discovered in flea markets. Or perhaps you might prefer a more traditional vintage style with velvet armchairs and beautifully crafted candlesticks (or even a chandelier!). Or maybe retro is more your thing and you can't get enough of pastel shades of fifties kitchens and patterned wallpaper. But once all the furniture has been chosen and carefully laid out, don't forget about the final touch: artwork! Afterall, what better way of finishing off a vintage interior with a stunning work of art? Artworks also tell a story and they too can bring personality to any interior. Whatever your vintage style, whether you're more bohemian, traditional, or 50's we have the perfect work of art for you to add to your home.

If you have a bohemian interior then go for small wooden or bronze sculptures to add a more arty touch to your selection of small decorative knick knacks. For a more traditional vintage decor pick out figurative oil paintings or bronze sculptures. Lastly, for a 50s interior think about picking out a Jackson Pollock inspired abstract painting or a brightly coloured work reminiscent of pop art.

Even if your interior isn't fully vintage, you can always add a vintage touch to any home by choosing to hang black and white photographs. Go for photographs by great 20th century photographers such as Vivian Maier, Bert Stern and Willy Ronis who have all succeeded in immortalising their era.

So, whether you are looking for art for your bedroom, living room or dining room, discover our selection of artworks that will perfectly complement any vintage inspired home interior. Make your home your very own little time capsule with vintage styled artworks to match your vintage furniture!
