Julio Fierro

Julio Fierro is an Argentinian artist born in Cordoba in 1962. It is in the heart of Argentina that Julio's artistic power takes root. Degree in architecture? Fierro creates works reminiscent of ancient forms while creating a mixture of contemporary techniques. The artist makes dreamlike landscapes visible and initiates a world of possible desires, new animist territories. His works, preciously preserved in numerous private collections in Buenos Aires and abroad, relate to painters such as La Tourelle and Wendel where the dreamlike universe of childhood becomes real. The question of the origin of the world is predominant and opened up by the form of childhood: a field of pleasure, of exploring knowledge through play. But Fierro also has the art and the way the tradition of the landscape represented as being a journey, a migration, surely towards a promised land.
