Laurent Camut is a Belgian photographer born in 1968.
Laurent Camut started his artistic career studying graphic arts but he decided to turn to photography at the end. In order to perfect his photographic technique he did several internships and attended classes during the evenings.
His decision to photograph mainly disabled people comes from his encounter with two other professional photographers. His pieces capture all the beauty and poetry of disabled people, without ever falling in the trap of voyeurism.
Thanks to his innovative photographic practice Laurent Camut decided to open workshops in several specialized centers for people with disabilities. His images show the closeness and complicity he establishes with his models.
