Biografia
Jessica Houston ha conseguito un MFA presso la Columbia University. È stata artista ospite in un viaggio nell'Artico sponsorizzato da Cape Farewell. Ha creato opere d'arte specifiche per il MOCA del New Jersey ad Asbury Park, il Castello di Corigliano a Pugia, in Italia, Governors Island a New York e l'aeroporto di Albany a New York. Il suo elenco di mostre e progetti include Odd Places (NY, NY), International Polar Year Conference (Oslo, Norvegia), The Painting Center (NY, NY), Stampato Matter (NY, NY), Museum of Contemporary Art (Detroit, MI ), Arts House (Melbourne, Australia) e Chiesa di San Lorenzo (Firenze, Italia). Era un'artista residente presso la Fondazione Albers a Bethany, CT; al NES di Skagaströnd, Islanda; al CAMAC Centre of Art, Science Technology in Francia; e con Rosenclaire in Italia. È stata nominata per la borsa di studio Rema Hort Mann. Attualmente insegna al Metropolitan Museum of Art e ha tenuto conferenze alla Columbia University, alla Concordia University, all'OCAD University e all'Institute of Arts di Firenze, Italia.
