Biography
ISABELLE LUTTER, artist, was born in Los Angeles and lives in Paris. She graduated from UCAD.
"Throughout my artistic career, particularly in illustration for publishing and visual communication, I learned to tell stories in images and bring ideas to life," Isabelle Lutter likes to say when she talks about her work.
For more than twenty-five years, she has worked in the world of creation in different forms, and in particular through the many projects commissioned from her, such as:
Traditional illustration, watercolors and paintings then collages.
Digital creation by favoring a pictorial approach which integrates hand-painted backgrounds, then digitized in order to preserve the richness of the textures and the spontaneity of the gesture.
Now, thanks to Lunisart, Isabelle Lutter hopes to reach a wider audience of amateurs and collectors, by giving them access to her works online.
Each of them is offered as an art print, in the form of a Fine Art pigment print under plexiglass, combining materiality and the digital world.
We always find what is at the heart of Isabelle Lutter's practice: collage. She enjoys combining vintage iconography (old engravings, details of paintings by great masters and forgotten objects, etc.) with contemporary elements (printed circuits and technical architectural plans) which thus create visual bridges between past and future, mixing popular and iconic images with fiction and imagination.
