Presentación
Ron Smits se licenció en Bellas Artes en la Camberwell School of Art y expuso en las galerías Serpentine y Acme de Londres. Durante sus años en Londres, recibió numerosas becas del Arts Council of Great Britain y del Greater London Arts para producir y presentar su obra ampliada en cine y vídeo.
A lo largo de estos años, y hasta que emigró a Estados Unidos, el Arts Council de Gran Bretaña le proporcionó un espacio para vivir y trabajar.
Una vez en Estados Unidos, Ron se dedicó a la iluminación arquitectónica y ganó varios premios internacionales de diseño. También trabajó como ilustrador independiente. Al jubilarse en 2013, volvió a la pintura, a la que felizmente se dedica casi a diario desde entonces.
