Biografía
Timothy Archer es un artista emergente nacido en 1982 en Boulogne-sur-mer. Vive y trabaja en Berlín. Graduado en historia del arte en la facultad de Lille pero también en artes aplicadas en la escuela de Kienz, Marc en Baroeul, el artista afina un estilo refinado y rigurosamente compuesto. Su pintura evolucionó a través de contactos con reconocidos artistas contemporáneos como André Butzer, Jonathan Meese o Bjarne Melgaard. Sus múltiples inspiraciones provienen tanto de los expresionistas alemanes como de los pintores modernos, pero también del arte primitivo de Oceanía y África. También se nutre del origen de su infancia con las historias de fantasmas de su abuela, o incluso con los obsequios que le ofreció su padre, un marinero, a quien trajo de sus viajes. Artista polifacético, ejerce una creación proteica bajo un universo fantástico. Su mundo pictórico está inspirado en sus demonios y cavilaciones interiores. Cuenta su historia, nuestras historias, nuestros demonios pero también nuestros sueños. Diosas desproporcionadas, reyes, reinas, guerreros, conviven. Dibuja al carboncillo, tinta y grafito sobre papel, pinta al óleo sobre lienzo o incluso prueba la cerámica. Sus pinturas están llenas de vida y expresan un deseo perpetuo de vivir y compartir. Su obra pertenece a las colecciones públicas: FRAC Bouches-du-Rhône 2012, La Coopérative Collection Cérès Franco 2016… Es repetidamente aclamada por la prensa: Liberation, France 2…
