Nacida en Hertfordshire, Glynne James es una artista inglesa. Vive y trabaja en Lincolnshire. Glynne James es una apasionada de los paisajes. En particular, estudia el efecto del clima en la atmósfera. En cada uno de sus lienzos, todos los matices temporales de un mismo paisaje aparecen no en varios lienzos diferentes sino en un solo lienzo. A pesar de los cambios de colores y atmósferas, el artista da una gran coherencia al conjunto. Al observar el cuadro, el propio espectador tiene la impresión de moverse porque los cambios son repentinos y sorprendentes. Si bien el tema del paisaje a veces puede parecer monótono, Glynne James le da nueva vida y reinventa una forma de representarlo.
