Biographie
Giorgio Lo Fermo est un peintre et sculpteur italien. Il est né en Sicile en 1947, mais vit et travaille à Rome depuis le milieu des années 1960. Il a étudié à l'École des Arts et Métiers de San Giacomo puis en Sociologie de l'Art à l'Université de Rome. Son style novateur a pris forme dans les années 70, dans l'atmosphère stimulante de la nouvelle Rome, renaissant grâce à la vitalité créative de Fellini et Rossellini. Le style de Lo Fermo est une élaboration symbolique étudiée de rythmes variés, dans laquelle l'objectivité et la logique cèdent la place à une expression libérale du contenu dynamique. Son concept est réanimé dans la couleur et dans l'esthétique, qui empruntent des chemins cinétiques à la fois vers la réalité et la fantaisie, se reliant intimement à l'expérience et à la tension intérieure.
Au cours de sa carrière, Giorgio Lo Fermo a participé à des expositions internationales à New York (1992), Stockholm (1992), Budapest (1992/1993), Hong Kong (1994) et au Concours international d'art de New York en 1995. Il a remporté plusieurs distinctions et récompenses importantes: le Italian Art Leader Award '92, le Art and World Prize de Hong Kong en 1994; il a également été nommé membre de l'Accademia Internazionale Greci / Marino. Les grandes galeries de Rome, telles que A. Consorti, Gradiva, Babuino et Yanika, exposent ses toiles et son travail est conservé dans des collections privées en Europe et en Amérique.
