Description
From the series Inner Landscapes
There are evenings by the water you never quite let go of. Where Water Holds the Evening is painted from exactly that place - a specific memory of light on water, personal enough to feel private, yet familiar enough to belong to anyone who has stood at the edge of something and gone quiet.
Part of the ongoing Inner Landscapes series, this work sits at the intersection of contemporary impressionism and abstract painting — where form loosens its grip and atmosphere takes over. Fluid brushwork builds across layered texture, creating depth that rewards both distance and closeness. The palette — cool greens dissolving into blue - doesn't decorate a space; it shifts it.
What makes this painting unusual is its restraint. Nothing is stated. Reflections on water, diffused light, a sense of stillness that feels earned rather than imposed. The composition holds its balance without rigidity, moving the eye without rushing it. For a viewer willing to slow down, it offers something increasingly rare in contemporary work: genuine quiet.
Where Water Holds the Evening is a considered acquisition for collectors building a cohesive body of work around emotional abstraction, as well as for those furnishing spaces where art is meant to be lived with — not simply displayed. Works from the Inner Landscapes series have been acquired for private collections internationally.
Available as an original. Certificate of authenticity included.
