Description
What makes us feel happy and truly alive? Often, it is the simplest things: traveling, discovering beautiful places, being close to nature, and experiencing moments that later become some of our favorite memories.
A warm evening by the sea. The sun is slowly setting behind the mountains, the water reflects the last light of the day, and white sails move across the blue surface. A yacht passes in the distance. There is nowhere to hurry. Perhaps there is a glass of wine, a quiet conversation, the warmth of the evening air, and the simple pleasure of looking out at the sea.
is part of the Inner Landscapes series - a series about memories of places where we once felt happy and that remain in our memory.
This landscape balances between abstraction and Impressionism. The sea, mountains, yachts, and white sails remain recognizable, yet they are painted freely through color, light, and movement. Layers of oil paint create broad areas of color, while lines of oil pastel bring energy and spontaneity to the work, capturing the movement of the water, the wind, and the warm light of the sunset.
Journeys end, seasons change, and life gradually takes us further away from the places where we once felt happy. Yet some of them stay with us for years - in colors, light, and sensations that unexpectedly return to our memory.
Sometimes we simply need to stop, slow down, and notice what is around us. Because the beauty of a single moment can stay in our memory long after the moment itself has passed.

Presentation
Olena Kishkurno was born in Ukraine in 1976.
She graduated from Kharkiv State academy of design and arts with a master's degree as a restorer of easel and monumental painting. Since 2022 lives in Germany.
Olena is an artist who explores the changes in humans resulting from the clash with the digital world, their integration into this realm, and subsequently, the loss of connection with their original essence.
The main mediums are painting and graphics. Works with oil painting, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media.
