Description
"Take Me Back to the Tropics" bursts with lively, vibrant colors, invoking the lush and varied palette of tropical landscapes. The composition interweaves organic shapes reminiscent of leaves and plant forms with bold, geometric patterns, creating a sense of depth and rhythm across the canvas. Blues, greens, and pinks dominate, while warm yellows and oranges punctuate the cooler tones, enhancing the visual contrast and energy. Each section of the artwork reveals intricate layering and subtle texture variations. This extra large colorful abstract will bring joy and life into any space.
Medium: Acrylic paint, acrylic marker, oil stick and pencil on Italian cotton canvas.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity.
The artwork has been finished with a gloss varnish to protect against UV and dust.
The artwork was painted on un-stretched Italian cotton canvas with a 6-7 cm border left for stretching onto a canvas frame. It can be easily stretched or framed at your local framing store. (Full canvas size is 212x120cm)
Presentation
Samantha Malone is an Australian/Israeli artist based in Tel Aviv. Her work is about movement, balance, and the way shapes and color interact on the canvas. She is interested in creating compositions that feel rhythmic and alive, where structure exists but doesn't feel rigid. Geometry often sits at the base of the work, softened by intuitive marks and a more fluid process.
She works with acrylic paint and mixed media, building layers of color, line, and pattern. Shapes are adjusted, broken apart, and reworked, with sometimes parts of the surface scraped back to reveal what came before. This layering adds depth and keeps the work open and dynamic.
Color is central to her art practice. She use contrast and repetition to create a sense of flow, inviting the eye to move across the surface and linger. The paintings are abstract, but they aim to feel playful, considered, and connected, leaving space for the viewer to bring their own meaning to the work.
Her works can be found in private collections across Europe, the UK, the USA, Asia, Canada, Australia, the UAE and Israel.
