Description
Hand-painted and entirely unique: no screen printing, no stencil.
This is the first time Tizlu presents this iconic motif in this panoramic format, measuring 110 × 70 cm — unfolding the full splendour of the composition in an inspiring and deeply immersive work of art.
The main motif is painted by hand, without any screen printing, on a heavily textured canvas reminiscent of a weathered city wall, the artwork captures a breathtaking moment of freedom and imagination. A boy and a girl sit together inside a giant paper airplane, their eyes filled with wonder and anticipation as they drift above the cityscape. Carried by the wind, they move through a world where walls hold memories, streets tell stories, and every corner promises a new adventure.
Their flight is far more than a child's game. It becomes a symbol of escape, courage, and limitless possibility — a journey beyond boundaries, beyond fear, beyond the ordinary. Beneath them, the city pulses with noise and movement, yet high above it they exist in complete freedom, suspended between dream and reality, guided only by curiosity and hope.
With every gust of wind, the paper airplane seems to carry them further into the unknown. Their voyage reflects the universal longing to break free from everyday limitations, to believe in impossible things, and pursuing their dreams without hesitation. The Beyond is not a distant place; it is within reach, as they ascend toward it, with open hearts and unwavering faith.
The richly layered surface gives the painting a remarkable physical presence, as though fragments of history, emotion, and urban life were embedded directly into the canvas itself. Time appears suspended in this fleeting scene: two children not simply flying, but setting out to conquer the world with innocence, bravery, and unwavering belief in what lies ahead.
Whether placed in a private home, a creative studio, a meeting room, or a professional environment, this work becomes a powerful statement piece — an artwork that continuously reveals new details and emotions over time. It radiates optimism, curiosity, and strength, serving as a daily reminder to embrace the future with courage, imagination, and a positive spirit.
Presentation
tizlu aka Tiziano Lucchese is an internationally known ultra-contemporary artist. He studied Art and Technology in the Netherlands and lives in Germany. His works as a multi-talented artist have been featured on television and showcased at prestigious international festivals. In addition to his work in the fine arts, tizlu worked as a director for commercials and fictional movies and editor for prime-time shows on major TV networks. His art is part of renowned fairs and private collections across the globe; from New York to Paris, from Australia to Canada.
tizlu's paintings appear as they were directly cut out of a living streetscape—where everything is possible, and nothing is mainstream. His artwork is the result of a refined blend of materials and techniques. He uses plaster, paper, and acrylic paint to create textures that evoke the appearance of weathered walls. On this foundation, he paints his unique motifs, layers drawings, messages, self-made stickers creating an art piece which becomes an urban patchwork reflecting the raw, spontaneous character of the streets and today's society.
