Description
The gesture is released on the canvas. The acrylic extends in transparent layers to let the light breathe. Here, the brush sometimes fades in favor of the direct contact of the hands.
The gaze travels between a hazy sky and land in neutral tones. Shades of pale blue mingle with soft grays and dull ochres. The composition evokes a distant, almost immaterial horizon.
The work rests on a subtle balance between vaporous blocks of color and more pronounced vertical strokes. These dark lines anchor the scene, recalling silhouettes or reflections in the water. The whole invites calm and daydreaming.
The mastery of nuances creates an atmospheric depth. The material seems to float, suspended between abstraction and landscape. The chromatic harmony emphasizes a sensitive approach to painting.
This pictorial approach transforms the surface into a space for contemplation. The fluid transitions between colors guide the eye toward the center of the composition. The final rendering is characterized by visual softness and great clarity.
Presentation
Abstract painting and vibrant emotion
Christine Barth Mroz, a self-taught painter, has been exploring emotions through abstract painting for 20 years. Her acrylic works, like visual musical notes, invite contemplation and reverie.
Drawing inspiration from music, the artist gives free rein to his creative gesture, favoring letting go and the pleasure of painting, often with his hands. His transparent paintings reveal a deep sensitivity and a mastery of light.
Exhibiting in France and Germany, notably at the Art3f fair, Christine Barth Mroz has acquired international recognition. Her works are present in online galleries and private collections, notably in the United States and Monaco.
