Description
Somewhere in October captures the quiet poetry of an autumn afternoon, when the world slows down and even the simplest moments become precious. Seated in a chair with a book in her hands and a warm drink nearby, a woman enjoys a peaceful pause as golden leaves scatter across the path around her. The bicycle resting nearby and the rich tapestry of falling foliage evoke the gentle nostalgia of October - a season of changing colours, slower rhythms and small personal rituals. Warm ochre, amber and russet tones contrast with the deep red of her coat, creating an intimate, inviting atmosphere. This painting is a celebration of the beauty found in ordinary moments: a little warmth, a good book and nowhere else to be. Original artwork created with acrylic on paper, measuring 35 × 50 cm. The painting will be carefully packed and shipped in a protective box.
Presentation
Marinelle is a contemporary artist based in Hurghada, Egypt, whose practice is deeply connected to the sea and the distinctive landscapes of the Red Sea coast. Born in Egypt, Marinelle draws inspiration from the turquoise waters, shifting light, sandy shores and distant horizons surrounding her home. Her paintings explore the quiet emotional presence of the sea - its movement, reflections, changing colours and moments of stillness. Working primarily with painting, she creates atmospheric seascapes that combine careful observation of nature with a personal, expressive approach to light and colour. Her works invite the viewer to pause, breathe and experience the sense of freedom and calm found beside the water. Living and working in Hurghada, Marinelle continues to develop a body of work inspired by the Red Sea and its ever-changing character.
