Description
Crois is a original contemporary painting by KOA from the series, a series about the tension, balance, and energy that runs through us.
On a pale yellow background, a composition of organic shapes rises and assembles like a construction in motion. The blocks of violet, red, pink, green, and white dialogue with a multitude of graphic patterns: checks, stripes, geometric shapes, colorful prints, and animal motifs.
The black outlines, characteristic of KOA's universe, structure each shape and give the whole a real graphic force. The elements seem both independent and interdependent, like the different components of a construction in balance.
With Crois, KOA explores the notion of trust. Believing in oneself, in one's path, in what is being built sometimes without being able to clearly distinguish the form yet.
The composition thus plays on the idea of ascent and movement. The shapes pile up, respond to each other, and progress, in a dynamic that evokes as much fragility as solidity.
Here, believing is not a certainty. It is an impulse. An inner force that allows one to move forward even without knowing exactly where one is going.
KOA develops a universe where color becomes language and form becomes emotion. In this, this writing focuses on what keeps us standing, connects us, and pushes us to move forward.
This work is a unique piece, not reproducible.

A vibrant and graphic work that invites one to trust one's path, one's intuitions, and the force that pushes us forward.
Presentation
KOA is the alias of Ophélie Simonet, a self-taught artist, born in 1987 in La Rochelle, who shakes up brushes and minds from her HQ in Vendée.
Her world? A dopamine hit of pop culture, humor, nostalgia, and graphics. Touched by a rare form of synesthesia (ordinal-linguistic personification), the artist cultivates an atypical visual and creative sensibility.
Alongside his , KOA decided in 2024 to come out of the woodwork. Painting is his form of freedom and authenticity, his playground, his antidote to the monotony of everyday life and the monochrome of the era.
His work is a modern and delicious blend of colors combined with powerful contrasts. His unashamedly naive style breaks academic codes and celebrates the infancy of art.
Designed with a playful approach, its collectible pieces (such as figurines, toys, images, etc.) promise to revive disenchanted generations and inject a dose of fun into any wall.
