Description
Ose is a original contemporary painting by KOA from the series, a series about the tension, balance, and energy that runs through us.
On a vibrant turquoise background, a composition of organic shapes rises and intertwines in a bold graphic balance. The clear colors — pink, red, violet, yellow, white, black, and turquoise — meet in a play of contrasts to which different graphic patterns are added.
Then, waves, abstract patterns, and animal prints mingle freely. Each shape has its own identity, while the black outlines connect and structure the whole.
With Ose, KOA explores the notion of daring: that of stepping aside, getting out of the frame, embracing one's choices, and making room for the unexpected.
The composition seems in motion. The shapes stretch, cross, and support each other, as if each dares to take its place to allow the whole to exist. The patterns, deliberately multiple, reinforce this sense of freedom and movement.
To dare, here, is to accept not to master everything. It is to trust one's impulse and move forward despite the doubt.
KOA develops a universe where color becomes language and form becomes emotion. In , this writing focuses on what keeps us standing, connects us, and pushes us to move forward.
This work is a unique, non-reproducible piece.

A vibrant and generous work that invites you to step out of the frame, follow your impulse, and dare fully.
Presentation
KOA is the alias of Ophélie Simonet, a self-taught artist, born in 1987 in La Rochelle, who shakes up brushes and minds from her HQ in Vendée.
Her world? A dopamine hit of pop culture, humor, nostalgia, and graphics. Touched by a rare form of synesthesia (ordinal-linguistic personification), the artist cultivates an atypical visual and creative sensibility.
Alongside his , KOA decided in 2024 to come out of the woodwork. Painting is his form of freedom and authenticity, his playground, his antidote to the monotony of everyday life and the monochrome of the era.
His work is a modern and delicious blend of colors combined with powerful contrasts. His unashamedly naive style breaks academic codes and celebrates the infancy of art.
Designed with a playful approach, its collectible pieces (such as figurines, toys, images, etc.) promise to revive disenchanted generations and inject a dose of fun into any wall.
