Presentation
Salvatore Mangione, in art Salvo, the province of Enna was born on 22 May 1947. He spent childhood in Sicily, in 1956 he moved to Turin with his family. It is in this city that is his love for art and where he began to attend artists who operate in the scope of poor art as Alighiero Boetti. Merz, penon and critics of the caliber of Germano Celant and Achille Bonito Oliva since the late 60s starts in which the trends are already clear - the search for self, narcissistic self-complacement, the relationship with the past and with history Of culture - which will become essential nodes of your next search. Parallel to photographic works unless it runs in marble on which words or phrases are engraved, such as idiot, breathing the father, I am the best: they are works that, although matured in the context of poor art, show a peculiar character and precarrier of the His future research.
Since 1976 he has developed a series of landscapes from the simplified scheme, with ringing colors. While the exhibition activity continues regularly in Italy, its notoriety is also consolidated internationally, enjoying a considerable success everywhere. Unless 12 September 2015 died.
