Description
This intriguing black and white work depicts a complex, richly detailed interior. At the center, a pensive man, legs crossed, holds a cigarette. He is flanked by a woman on a balcony, contrasting with his stillness. The tiled floor features geometric patterns that add depth. To the right, several busts of statues create an enigmatic atmosphere, suggesting a silent dialogue with the living figures. The vintage wall telephone reinforces the feeling of a bygone era, while light subtly illuminates certain areas, accentuating the chiaroscuro. This composition skillfully blends elements of classicism and modernity, capturing a moment suspended between reflection and observation. The work is compelling in its ability to tell multiple stories within a single frame, inviting the viewer's imagination to complete the narrative.
Presentation
Adolfo Arenas Alonso was born in 1972.
Trained at the School of Arts and Crafts in Seville, he became an illustrator specializing in graphic design. His art of decadence, with a wild structure, is tinged with a dark lust.
An incredible story that I will tell you when you come to see him at the gallery...
