Description
The artwork listed here is a spectacular lithograph in color titled, "Matisse in his Studio" by famous Modern artist Red Grooms that highlights his whimsical style as he depicts Henri Matisse drawing a nude female. It is of impressive craftsmanship and size, archival matted to approximately 28.5" x 20.5" and 38" x 29.5" with its high quality frame, constructed specifically for this piece. This piece, referenced as figure 29 by Alexander/Cowles, is HAND SIGNED, Numbered 8 of 75, is marked with Marlborough's blindstamp and comes with a gallery COA. Furthermore, with only 75 pieces in the edition, that sold out almost immediately after it was published in 1976 by Marlborough Graphics Inc., it is now nearly impossible to find. Yet, we have listed it with the Submit Best Offer option, so name your price now.
Every item comes with free custom framing. We have wood frames with gold, silver, black, or brown finishes to offer you. Please note that in order to preserve the quality of the artwork and condition of the frame, most items are framed at the time of purchase. Due to issues within the supply chain and delays with framing products availability, the frame you see pictured might not be currently available. If we do not hear from you regarding your framing options we will do our best to frame it in a similar style and color.
