Description
With the series of "intuition", Mpcem questions the perception of the moment.
Our interior life, as soon as we want to capture it in its specificity, its singularity, is not marked by duration but by moments which follow one another and continuously shape us. We remember to have been and not to have lasted.
Capture these moments, these reliefs outside the wall which lead us back to the vision of things themselves, this world around us, the world which looks at us.
Before our eyes these structures become signs, an immanent meaning, an appearance of oneself to oneself, an aesthetic of subjectivity that seeks intuition and not the structured object.
Structures do not appear as a being (a thing that is) but as an event (a thing that happens), from this image arises the idea of the effect; where there is Intuition, we feel an effect.
These events become meaningful when they appear to us as the realization or expression of a single aim; perceptions, at the same time as they are unveiling.
Each structure has its autonomous and self-significant value of forms with the application of all the resources of the "gestalt", pushing towards an inner familiarity; To understand is to take together
Intuitions are addressed to the mind and not to the eyes, it is an immediate language, it is a parenthesis of meaning to freeze only the instant and free our inner sounds.

Presentation
Christophe Rotais, also known as Mpcem, is a French sculptor. A self-taught artist, he started creating art in 2008. He currently lives and works in Brittany.
Mpcem, his artistic name, tells us more about his artistic approach. In fact, his name means: Movement for Body and Mind (Movement pour les Coprs et . The artist's artistic approach, through abstraction, explores the relations between the body and the mind, inseparable entities. The body to body of the artist with the material is thus a real outlet for his emotions, questions and his ideas. In his introspective universe, the artist retain a part of spontaneity, saying he wants to " sculpt his non-reflected thoughts". Artists, he writes, "address themselves to the mind of man, to his imagination; My art is made of suggestions, ideas and mystery".
the artist exhibits his work regularly everywhere in France.
