Description
This sculpture captures the raw power and dignity of the animal kingdom. The fixed gaze of the primate imposes an immediate silence. Every anatomical detail is treated with rigorous precision. The prominent muscles of the torso testify to a remarkable technical mastery of sculpting.
The work of textures is revealed in the rendering of the fur. The hairs are sculpted with finesse, creating a tactile and realistic relief. The choice of metallic resin brings a timeless dimension to the piece. The patina emphasizes the shadows and reliefs of the face, accentuating the solemn expression of the animal.
The balance between wild rudeness and the sophistication of the finish makes the sculptural object striking. The piece rests on a minimalist black pedestal. This discreet support allows all attention to be concentrated on the physical presence of the bust. The contrast between the dark material and the bronze tone highlights the imposing stature of the gorilla.
Presentation
Valerian Sioridze is a self-taught Georgian sculptor. Passionate about modeling clay from childhood, he discovered at the age of 14 an innate talent for sculpture that led him from Georgian workshops to Parisian galleries. Arriving in France in 2008, he revolutionized his practice in 2015 with bold experiments using modeling clay, homemade molds, metallic resins, and vibrant pigments.
Her signature style? Striking maximalism: perfect anatomy, movements frozen in mid-stride, palpable textures, captivating expressions. Her first animal collection celebrates the wild beauty of our planet with a lifelike realism that transcends the material.
Acquiring a work by Valerian Sioridze means choosing a sculpture that does more than simply decorate: it inhabits the space, challenges the viewer's gaze, and asserts itself with elegance in your interiors. Rooted in a modern Georgian heritage, it fuses the raw Caucasian spirit with French sophistication.
