The magnificent restoration of the Wilton's altarpiece combined with the reading of Henry James's figure in the carpet drove me to a reflection on the universality of pre-renaissance works. They drew up to the abstract by endlessly confronting themselves to classic themes from the Gospel. The dogma stands in both its strength and its strangeness while becoming closer to the viewer. Eternity is made flesh, the universal and total abstraction is made figure and the fingers of the human and the divine join.

Presentation
A Parisian product mixed with Brussels freshness, I work on collages in which I try to show the beauty and harshness of our world, to bear witness to the suffering and joy that we can experience in our fragile but magnificent universe.
I am particularly touched by our collective experience of being the sons of a civilization that has ended up endangering life on earth. This dramatic experience finally prevents us from fleeing the questions that comfort and consumption allowed us to dodge.
Finally, the blind and heavy waters withdraw, carry us away, open up to give us back life.
