Tori Grin (Viktoriya Grinberg, b. Odessa, Ukraine) is a contemporary artist and designer currently based in Pennsylvania, USA. Her artistic journey began in Odessa, where she studied at the Grekov Odessa State Art School and trained as an artist-designer. After moving to the United States more than two decades ago, she earned a degree in Graphic Design at Bucks County Community College. Years of experience in graphic design gave her a mastery of color, composition, and visual balance. Yet over time, she felt the digital medium too limiting and turned toward painting, where direct engagement with materials, texture, and light allowed her to fully realize her vision.
In her paintings, Grin fuses her design background with fine art sensibility. She is known for textured surfaces, layered relief, golden accents, and the use of epoxy resin, which creates a luminous depth and interplay of light. Her works blur the boundaries between painting and object, transforming them into integral elements of interior space. Each artwork is unique, designed to carry energy and atmosphere, and to resonate with the individuality of its environment.
Grin views painting as a bridge between human presence and architectural space. For her, a canvas is not simply decoration but a living energy that shapes mood, evokes memory, and becomes part of a personal story.
