Slim Aarons se alistó en el ejército de Estados Unidos a los 18 años, su nombre real es Georges Allen Aarons.
Se convirtió en fotógrafo en la Academia Militar de West Point y luego en reportero durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. De 1950 a 1980, fue el fotógrafo de la Jet Set estadounidense y se dedicó a la representación de un Hollywood dorado y glamuroso.
