Description
The horizon fades in a subtle dialogue between the sky and the water. This oil painting captures the essence of a port at rest. The eye glides over silhouettes of sailboats, vertical and thin, which rhythmize the space.
The work with palette knife and brushwork brings a tangible relief to the vessels. These touches of material contrast with the fluidity of a vaporous background. The cool tones of gray and blue are softened by rosy and golden reflections, evoking a light of dawn or twilight.
The semi-abstract approach prioritizes atmosphere over precision. Each brushstroke suggests the slow movement of the tides and the silence of the coast. The scene invites contemplation and still voyage.
Realized in 2026, this painting plays with depth and serenity. A few touches of primary colors punctuate the marine surface, creating visual anchors within this hazy expanse.
Presentation
The artist has always lived at the edge of the water, on the Atlantic coast, as close as possible to these seascapes that he loves passionately and of which he strives, canvas after canvas, as a sensitive and privileged witness, to restore light, poetry and serenity.
Colorist, he works his semi-abstract seascapes with oil, brush and knife, playing on the contrast between the motif worked in full paste and the soft background, thus offering each of his works a very dynamic contemporary.
Favoring the impression, the atmosphere and the atmosphere, it gives free rein to the imagination of those who contemplate them.
His paintings are an ode to travel, dreams and escape.
