Description
This oil painting captures the fragility of an orchid in a tight framing. The gaze focuses on the intimacy of the plant. The petals unfold shades of powdered pink and mauve.
Light glides over droplets of dew whose transparency brings immediate freshness. Each water pearl seems suspended, seizing the moment with precision.
The artist plays with subtle contrasts. The heart of the flower reveals darker, earthier tones, creating an organic depth. The background, treated with a freer touch, evokes diffuse and luminous foliage.
The tactile treatment of the material emphasizes the delicacy of the textures. This approach transforms a natural detail into a poetic composition. The whole exudes a luminous serenity, typical of a search for the beauty of the living world.
This work was created in 2023.
Presentation
A painter with a degree from the Beaux-Arts of Paris, Isabelle Jacq Gamboena is of Spanish origin. After living for several years in West Africa then in Brittany, Isabelle settled in the Paris region In her works, Isabelle likes to evoke dance, singing and flamenco music through a style where figuration and abstraction coexist in complete harmony.
The colors and textures evoke the sound vibrations of flamenco become colored material, while figurative shapes representing a dancing body, a face, a model, emerge from this abstract world. Sometimes, Isabelle likes to focus her attention on a detail: a natural or bodily element. In this close-up vision, the artist invites us to better probe reality and to perceive how a detail can be rich in meaning. Also a portrait painter, Isabelle reveals the soul of the beings she represents.
If Isabelle's favorite theme is flamenco, an art which echoes the artist's Spanish origins, her painting also refers to nature and poetry. Indeed, some works are inspired by the reading of certain poets or by places that marked his memory. This is how landscapes are born at the end of his brush, thus expressing his feelings. His works, sometimes warm, sometimes vaporous but always luminous, are an invitation to the elevation of the soul and the celebration of life.
