Description
Abstraction is expressed here through a play of sharp contrasts and spontaneous forms.
The eye traverses a white space, crossing a dark horizontal line.
Dense black spots anchor the composition.
An orange form brings a central warmth.
To the right, a golden touch illuminates the upper corner.
The whole evokes a visual rhythm, a graphic score where the void becomes essential.
Aquatint allows for the obtaining of subtle textures and delicate shades of gray.
The balance rests on the tension between the opaque masses and the lightness of the background.
This work, created in 2017, belongs to a series of limited editions.
The technical rendering emphasizes the precision of the gesture and the mastery of contrast.
The white paper accentuates the luminosity of the pigments used.
