My painting is a mixed painting: Franco-Colombian by my father, Australian by my mother; my triple culture permeates my painting. Having lived, as a child, in Australia (2 years), then in Alaska (2 years), I was crossed by the myths, tales and legends inuit, aborigines, Amerindians: I made a kind of “melting pot”. to create my own mythology, which appears in the figures of my automatic drawings. The infinite ribs, synapses, alveoli, which we find in my works echo my lung disease, after which I became a self-taught painter, late in 2009. Also, the multitudes of dots, of fine lines which overlap, become entangled, intertwined like so many rootlets, rhizomes, roots symbolically transpose my desire for roots, my crossbreeding… through my weavings.
