Presentation
As an artist, he has worked in various educational and cultural institutions. He obtained professional qualifications in art and teaching through two university studies at the Faculty of Education in Prešov and UPJŠ in Košice, which he completed with a rigorous examination.
As an insightful artist, Ladislav Majoroši never tires of “watched" works. He has the courage to experiment, to research and above all to create and not to stick to a single subject. He creates mainly in acrylic painting technique or uses pastel or oil paint. He paints because he loves it. This is a way for him to become the “Creator" for a certain period of time, deciding the entire process of creation. As he himself says, he paints next to the garden. If the weather is nice, he's outside rather than inside, which means he doesn't paint. He loves humor, and if he manages to put at least a little of it into his work, he considers it an added value that makes life more pleasant. For him, painting is not something usual, but rather a matter of momentary feelings, sometimes of chance. Many works are created spontaneously, some are resumed after a certain time. It happens that if he is not satisfied with the painting, he paints it completely and a new, different one is created.
In addition to painting, he also devotes himself to bedroom ceramics, humorous cartoons and video production. Change and research are important in his work and perhaps in his whole life. He creates to the sound of music, but when things aren't going well, silence must reign in the studio.
He exhibits his works independently mainly in cities in eastern Slovakia, but also in Bratislava and Martin. Also abroad – USA, Austria, Poland. He currently lives and works in Sečovce.
