Presentation
Born October 14, 1965 in Uccle - Brussels, currently lives in France at the gates of Provence. A well-trained autodidact: as a child, she drew and painted within a family of artists…then joined a Brussels art school until she was 17 years old.
10 years later, a meeting will upset his creative life: that with the artist Madeleine Haupert who attended the Beaux arts in Paris and art teacher (befriends Nicolas de Staël and allows him to discover painting abstract).
Anany creates stone!
Anany is an artist who creates stone. Stated in this way, it may seem surprising, even incongruous. But what is the role of the artist if not to imitate nature, recreate reality and create a new world? And what could be more extraordinary than this task of creating stone? Revealing a material, reconstituting it and restoring it with contemporary artistic materials, this is Anany's work.
The humanity of the first men was expressed on stone. We are left with the moving and fascinating testimonies of the rock paintings, including those in the Chauvet 2 cave. The humanity of Anany is expressed not on stone but by creating stone, at the genesis of the world.
From a universal heritage, Anany transforms it into an abstract fragment, into metonymy, partly for the whole. The Stones of Anany remind our memories of the earthly mother matrix as much as of Humanity translated into the works of the first Men. This vital need for expression which inhabits the Human from its dawn fascinates Anany who strives to relive the mystery of Creation. The stone contains life, the memory of the Earth as of Humanity. It is in the stone that the archaeologist, the scientist, the biologist, that any researcher finds an answer.
This is the whole idea that underlies the exceptional work of this artist who gives us to see a mise en abyme of creation. Combining cosmos, big bang, memory, heritage, archaeological remains and fossils.
Dream Stone - Genesis Dream Stone
Anany works with the elements at her disposal like Nature shapes a landscape. This visual artist creates light and arranges it like an astral ray on a rock face. Each work is a creative big bang with captivating visual and sensory power. Between two infinities The artist takes us on a space-time journey. While remaining comfortably seated in his armchair, the viewer's eye wanders over the relief of the work like an astronaut and a diver over the universe. Between Pascal's two infinities, the infinitely large and the infinitely small Between the two infinities of geological time, from ocean depths to distant galaxies. The man at the measure of all things It is a platonic reflection where the world is within reach, gaze and reflection. If things exist only through Man, truth also exists only through him. Thanks to his reason, he brings about the world as a rational world. This conception, which places Man at the center of everything, is confirmed in the very technique used by the artist. Alchemist A patented complex resin The raw material used for the resin is paper-based and reminds us of the influence of the first men, of writing, of history and therefore of its inscription in the world. Anany manufactures its own mineral pigments by derivation from rock and plant substances. Each piece is double-sided, creating an antagonism between the rough, material and matte on the obverse with the smooth, watery and soft shine of the reverse. Anany's constant search for technique and “beautiful manner" brings together art and craftsmanship, work of art and decoration and makes her “dream stones" true interior jewels.
