Pittore autodidatta, esposto al Centre Pompidou nel 2025, Laurent Anastay-Ponsolle esprime la tensione del corpo e dell'anima in un'opera libera, istintiva e carnale.
Biografia
Autodidatta, Laurent Anastay-Ponsolle ha sempre mantenuto un rapporto emotivo con la sua pratica artistica: il sentimento è il suo territorio di esplorazione preferito. Fin dal concepimento va dove il suo istinto lo guida. Preferisce fotografare il suo modello da diverse angolazioni per scegliere cosa gli interessa in una posa, piuttosto che trascrivere la verità primaria.
Un'ossessione, mani. Possessivi, fragili o potenti, sensuali o addirittura anonimi, emergono come spettri per catturare l'attenzione e fornire gran parte della carica emotiva della composizione.
Attraverso la sua linea irregolare, Laurent Anastay-Ponsolle rintraccia le emozioni per metterle a nudo. Esplora il sensibile, l'effimero, il fragile. Per accumulazione o cancellazione, lo sguardo si perde e gli individui scompaiono: abbracci infiniti e perpetui, nel dimenticare se stessi o l'altro, sfumano tratti e personalità.
Per esprimere questa ricerca, un mezzo di prova, il disegno. Poi il dipinto. Ma anche attraverso questo il disegno riaffiora come un segno indelebile. La saturazione, il respiro, i suoi pentimenti sono evidenti: cancella, cancella e sottolinea il suo punto. Vietando l'uso della gomma, la sua tecnica riflette l'immagine del suo soggetto: incarnata, cruda e spontanea.
