Post impressionismo
Il postimpressionismo è un movimento artistico che esisteva principalmente in Francia tra il 1886 e il 1905. Questi anni segnano l'ultima mostra tenuta dal impressionisti e l'inizio di fauvisme< /a >. Il postimpressionismo è nato come reazione all'arte impressionista, che rappresentava la luce e il colore in modo naturale. Invece, gli artisti postimpressionisti preferivano colori vivaci e non naturalie sottolineavano le qualità pittoriche delle loro opere. Usavano spesso anche forme geometriche e distorte che accentuavano la loro distanza dal contesto. naturalisme.
Il post-impressionismo si distingue dall'impressionismo per il suo obiettivo di esprimere emozioni attraverso l'arte, piuttosto che produrre semplicemente impressioni visive. Si muove spesso verso l'astrazione e il simbolismo. Tuttavia, i postimpressionisti non rifiutarono completamente l'impressionismo.
