Biography
Anthony Hernandez was born in Havana, Cuba on October 16, 1972.
His love and passion for art influenced his life as a young child.
Anthony was fascinated by works of artists from his birthplace including Amelia Peláez, Mario Carreño and Rene’ Portocarrero.
At the age of 12 he immigrated to Chicago and now resides in Florida.
His work is predominantly in the medium of oil and acrylic paintings on canvas, and has recently incorporated murals.
Anthony is a firm believer that everything is somehow connected:
“Our actions and our intentions, whether good or bad, create a chain reaction. Each work or piece in any medium I use will carry that message of connection. I always emphasize that art and life go hand in hand; it is about decisions not conditions.”
