Description
This captivating artwork features an enigmatic face rendered through a fine mesh of black and white dots on bubble wrap. The impeccable technique is reminiscent of the style of pointillism, amplifying depth and texture. The predominant use of black and white accentuates the contrast, adding a dramatic and timeless dimension. The face, barely perceptible, emerges with an expression that evokes silent introspection. This artistic blur creates a play between light and shadow, drawing the viewer into an immersive visual experience. The composition seems to fuse traditional and modern art, highlighting the artist's mastery in the treatment of tones. This duality between appearance and disappearance gives the work a fascinating mystery and an avant-garde aesthetic.
Presentation
Christophe Ruiz is a French visual artist, born in Pau in 1965. His approach is part of an urban pop aesthetic that combines ecological commitment and graphic energy. Working with recycled materials, he brings matter back to life by exploring the notions of transformation, evanescence and memory.
Her works, halfway between painting, collage, and bas-relief, evoke the controlled chaos of a changing world. Acetone, used to alter surfaces, becomes a tool of revelation: it dissolves to better reveal. Each piece bears the trace of a deliberate erasure, a crumbling that questions our relationship to time, the body, and the environment.
Present on Artsper for several years, Christophe Ruiz has attracted collectors who are sensitive to committed contemporary art, which is at once raw, poetic and resolutely current.
