Description
Stylistically, the work combines elements of symbolism, mystical surrealism and neo-expressionism, which is characteristic of the author's searches in the field of philosophical painting.
The themes of weightlessness, trance, going beyond the physical body and the connection of man with the macrocosm are explored.
The upper part of the canvas is occupied by a figure that is soaring. Its pose is relaxed, which indicates not a rapid fall, but a state of free levitation flight or immersion in dreams.
Directly below the figure, a strict axis of cosmic bodies is built. This introduces the motif of the fluidity of time, the cyclical nature of life and astronomical fatalism into the work.
The lower space is as if in the rays of the evening sun. The placement of the planets enhances the feeling of a mystical, extraterrestrial space.
The work is executed in oil paints on a rough textured canvas or burlap, the edges of which are deliberately left unpainted. The protruding relief of the fabric adds materiality and archaic color to the picture.
From above and below, it is possible to mount the work on sticks of small diameter.
The color scheme is built on soft, as if dusty halftones. Sky blue and turquoise dominate in the upper part, which turns into warm pink, pastel terracotta and ocher shades closer to the ground.
The picture leaves open space for interpretations, balancing between the internal psychological state of a person and the global laws of the Universe.
