L'arte contemporanea coreana è rimasta a lungo all'ombra dei giganti cinesi e giapponesi che sembravano occupare l'intera scena artistica internazionale. L'arte contemporanea coreana è diventata nota per la prima volta grazie ai suoi artisti espatriati negli Stati Uniti e continua a prosperare senza doversi vergognare del resto del mondo.
Per quest'anno 2016, Art Paris Art Fair invita la Corea, la parte finale di un'esplorazione delle scene asiatiche. Affidato al curatore della mostra Sang-A Chun, questo invito mette in luce la ricchezza della scena artistica della “terra della calma mattutina”, dagli anni Sessanta all'attuale effervescenza artistica.
