Miquel Wert

Born in 1982, Miguel Wert is a Spanish-Swedish painter. He lives and works in Paris.

Miguel Wert studies Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona since 2005, however he has been exposing his pieces in collective and private exhibitions since 2000. The artist depicts his own life and addresses the question of representation of the collective subconscious not limiting himself simply to the nostalgic element. He creates fading, incomplete images resembling memories that gradually disappear from our memories. He then approaches the subject of origins, inspired by his own Swedish roots.

The images that Miguel Wert creates are the product of his own documentation and of a research work in several archive resources.
