Biography
JAN TARASIN (b. 1926 - d. 2009)
Polish painter, graphic artist, art theorist. Tarasin studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Since 1962, he was a member of Grupa Krakowska (Cracovian Group). In 1967 Tarasin moved to Warsaw and since 1974 worked as a professor at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts. Between 1987 and 1990 he was a rector of the Academy.
