Biography
Tomomi Mishima, was born in 1989. She is a Japanese painter.
Her works deals with the evolution of the Japanese society, she pays special attention to the role of women. Her paintings depict young Japanese women with a trendy look, the artist considers them to illustrate a virtual role. The increasing influence of the Western culture is perceptible, due to the changes which occur in the Japanese society. These tend to affect the youngsters who lose their bearings between traditional education and attractive modern propaganda. The latter imposes the tacit obligation of being trendy in the contemporary world. An artist language which goes beyond borders but is familiar to everyone.
Tomomi Mishima's meaningful work has seduced several galleries around the world. She is mainly known for her exhibitions in Israel, France, USA, Spain, Mexico, China and Singapore.
