Galerie Arcturus presents “Thibaut de Réimpré, Selected pieces, 25 years of crash, combustion and adventure”, which will take place from May 18 to June 17, 2017, as part of ART SAINT GERMAIN DES PRES. It has been several years since Thibaut de Réimpré had a personal exhibition in a Parisian gallery. Following with passion his work for many years, the Arcturus Gallery has chosen with the artist to turn our gaze to the adventure of the last 25 years. Beneath Thibaut's apparent calm and smile, a profusion of telluric forces boils, a crash, a chaos of colors and tangles of lines that burst in his works. These chosen pieces bear witness to the dynamism, consistency and commitment of his work: the central subject is “painting, here and now” as Philippe Piguet puts it. This exhibition is therefore an important moment for this artist, active since 1974, who has a unique place in the movement of abstract expressionism.
