Presentation

For his return in France, Quik reveals about twenty new pièces on various supports (flags, plans, street furniture) to deliver smoothly his subversive message. The exhibition presented at the Gallery Ange Basso is the accomplished expression. At the dawn of his 60 years from which more than 45 years spent to defend its art, Quik delivers in some works his story and his fights.

Of one "Charlie" to Andy Warhol, of a Felix the cat to a black and rachitic character, of the Pop art in the graffiti, using headlines of current events and symbols, his work depicts our societies, denounces his injustices and takes part in the humanist causes. In ceaseless gentleman of the graffiti Lin Quik Felton stands out. In artist, he awakens our critical sense with a proud and soft relevance. And being described " as a soldier of frontlines " this "Blues Painter" proves us that the art is neither white, nor black. Neither racist, nor inequitable. But carrier of hopes just as much as of some of his(her, its) disappointments.
