Alfons Alt pushes the language of the image that separates painting from photography and photography from painting without this limit being ever crossed or exceeded.

Alfons ALT, German of origin, produces unique images. He patiently transforms photographs taken with a large format camera, by working them with a brush to fix the pigments according to the resino-pigmentype process invented in the mid-nineteenth century, updated by him. He uses this ancient photographic technique to produce images the modernity of which we cannot deny nor confuse with old photographs. 

For this exhibition, he chose to express his relationship with the vegetal world, inspired by the Largo of Haendel's opera “Xerxès" in which the speaker enjoys the happiness that light produces in the shade under foliage, a tree, an oriental plane.

He will present a set of works evoking the fascinating world of plants, through different scales: trees in large sizes and small sizes, compositions of foliage, fruits of nature.
