How to say... Painting & language. Two broad themes are explored by each canvas by Camila Oliveira Fairclough. Her artworks embody simplicity, color, and symbolic abstraction. Each artwork is a clear inscription of the artist's avant-garde, multicultural approaches!
However, Camila's words do not seek to form a common representation of the world. Rather, she claims "words fail her" and there are other ways for interaction. She must "forget the reality" of words and completely ignore them. The artist dismisses the symbolism of language's everyday use, thus making room for more joyful and varied experiences.
Camila's work is so personal, that instead of giving her works formal titles, she gives them names. Her paintings are also performances, meant for contemplation to awaken one's consciousness.
