Born in 1965 in Rio Grande do Norte, Jayr Peny is a Brazilian Painter.
He was attracted since very early by art, for the freedom of expression it offers, Jayr Peny started an artistic training at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte to learn painting and at the School of Fine Arts, Central Atelier to study drawing. His work was quickly acclaimed by the critics of Natal who recognized him as one of them.
Jayr Peny is one of the founding members of the Professional Plastic Artists Association from Rio Grande do Norte. He received the silver medal from the Society of Fine Arts of Rio de Janeiro. He has done along his career more that 40 private exhibitions, particularly in Portugal, Brazil, France and the United States.
Jayr Peny is also a member of the Association of Artist of France, of the National Society of Fine Arts of Lisbon and of the International Federation of Plastic Artists of Barcelona.
In 2001,The General Council of the International Academy of Arts, Letters and Science Greci-Marino located in Italy gave him the prestigious the title of the Superior Academy and historic city of Florence. He was awarded as well with the prize " Citta di Milano, Duomo Art" in 2004.
