Born in 1958, Jennifer Brook is an artist from Montreal, Quebec. She studied at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and completed a Bachelor of Arts at the Mount Allison University in New Brunswick. She lives and works in Boston since 1987.
Her work focuses mainly in the process of collecting, processing, comparing, analizing and acquiring the information that each human being uncounciously searches for. Jennifer Brook directs her research to a point between observation and representation, the eye and the brain. She seeks to depict nature and not reproduce exactly what she sees, the landscapes with which she is confronted every day are her main source of inspiration.
Her pieces have been exhibited in numerous art galleries and have been part of several exhibitions in the United States and Canada.
