Ole Ahlberg

Denmark Born in: 1949
Ole Ahlberg (born in 1949) is a famous Danish painter.

He is known for his unusual paintings of Tintin and Captain Haddock, who are portrayed next to nude and sexualized women. His series is a tempered lithography highlighting a surrealist and poetic universe.

The artist digs the game of shadows deeper, towards dramatization and theater staging. His theater, stages elements emanating from vanity: apples, cages, animals...These associations are free, like the manner of surrealists. An innocent world, the one of dream or nightmare, but surely subconscious.
